Authenticity, Transparency, Vulnerability

“…for the first time she began to know herself, and she gained extraordinary hope in this beginning of knowledge.” — James Agee

Self-realization is a lifetime exercise with wonderful rewards.

Raynard Randolph is one of the hosts for the podcast, Discover IT, that helps people realize their full potential by understanding their Internal Thoughts.

His was a rough childhood, replete with what he describes as “complex trauma” — that he describes as repeated and chronic factors usually during the developmental period of a child, leaving unresolved issues that carry into adult life.

What are the symptoms?

Problems regulating destructive emotions, drawing inward to escape reality, the mind masking or hiding certain memories, and struggling to answer two questions: 1) Where does my value come from? 2) Am I lovable to the people around me?

Over the past seven years he has discovered and made a better life for himself, moving away from those early years of a criminal record, no job, no savings, unhealthy relationships, and instability.

It helped that he had a skilled mentor in his corner to act as a voice of reason in time of weakness.
